Today we are going to be looking at a very interesting local firm, MSE Power Systems, located right here in Colonie. I'll bet it's a company most of you have not heard of but it's a very important player in designing energy systems around the world. In fact, it's been recognized by the Global Business Network as being a leader in the export of services to foreign countries. We'll also be taking a look a wind power. We've read a great deal about it and some of us have probably seen the extra long trucks taking turbine blades from the Port of Albany up to the Adirondacks. How much impact can wind power have on the energy usage profile? Can it reduce dependence on foreign energy sources? What about the aesthetics and the NIMBY or "Not in my Backyard" attitudes?
